Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Driver in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more . As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals on site. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared to respond to incidents while patrolling the premises by vehicle.   • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related standards.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any changes or concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives.
  • Support access control measures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving, and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
