Overview

Borsheims is looking for a full-time Jewelry Factory Repair Associate to join our team. At Borsheims, we take pride in providing our Signature Service to every customer, and you will play a vital role in helping us do that.

Responsibilities

• Organized. Prepares, tracks and maintains documentation for stock and customer factory repairs, recording all relevant job information on the computer. You will audit pending factory repairs to ensure arrival by promised delivery and prepare merchandise to be shipped.
• Service-Minded. Obtains bids for factory repair estimates, chooses the best estimate and coordinates the repair cost with authorized pricers. You will contact the sales associate or customer to relay the repair estimate and obtain approval for repair if needed.
• Detail-Oriented. Upon receipt, inspects the merchandise and reconciles it to the appropriate paperwork to ensure proper repair(s). You will forward merchandise for a quality assurance check.
• Proactive. Notifies the sales associate and/or customer when the merchandise is received or if there is a delay in repair.
• Helpful. Performs the duties of other shop support positions as needed.

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to work assigned schedule on a regular basis.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to see well enough to read small print, identify merchandise, check quality of work on small parts or entire pieces of jewelry items, and to read a computer screen and printout.
• Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse with others in person, via telephone and paging system.
• Ability to move about the store from department to department, get behind narrow counter areas, bend down or reach up into drawers/shelves, and to climb a ladder to retrieve merchandise/files from shelves.
• Dexterity to write in small print, handle small jewelry/gift items, operate a 10-key, operate a computer keyboard, and operate office equipment.
• Stamina to sit for over eight hours.
• Ability to work in a shop environment, i.e. elevated noise, steamer, minor dust, etc.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20 lbs.
